The Purple Star Summer Kickoff Challenge was a raging
success!

Every week day fer th’ entire moon o’ June we`ll be havin’ some
fantastic missions an’ th’ opportunity t’ get th’ dubloon…that’s gold
for those of you who don’t speak pirate!
Gold gets ye a fantastic prize from Bonnie & Robin…but ye`ll be
havin’ t’ check in ever’ day t’ get th’ bounty. Because some days we`ll
be havin’ an easy lens mission that will get ye jus’ a wee bit closer t’
Giant Squid or 100 Club an’ some days we`ll be dolin’ ou’ booty.
Our sea dog ship set sail on Toosdee June 1st. Join us today’ fer yer second mission.
And rumor has 't that they`ll be some dubloon comin' up later this week!

It’s a Purple Star Three Day Weekend!

The Purple Star “Summer Kick Off” Weekend ChallengeOpen
to the Entire Squidoo Community!
We’re going to have a little bit of fun for the upcoming 3 day
weekend. All Squids, Giants and Non-Giants alike are invited to create a
(new) brilliant lens and nominate it for a Purple Star.
We’ll pick the best ones of the bunch and dust them with a little
purple goodness.
One lucky lensmaster will also get crowned the Purple Star King or
Queen for the week of June 7th. This means that they’ll get to pick all
20 Purple Stars during that week!
Rules, there’s always a few!
All lens submissions must be made NEW for this challenge with first
publish dates starting now through midnight EST Monday May 31, 2010.
Your lenses can be about any topic, and on any Squidoo co-brand
including RocketMoms and all SquidClubs.
You may create and submit as many lenses as you like but they’ll need
to be TIP TOP QUALITY to qualify for a Purple Star.
How to Enter:
1. Submit your Purple Star worthy lens link using the form you’ll
find HERE.
2. All eligible (Purple Star Winning) lenses will be featured at the official
Purple Star Facebook Page and the lensmaster’s name will be tossed
into a hat. One lucky winner will be chosen at random as our newest
Purple Star King or Queen for the week.
3. (And if you set the lens to charity you can also nominate it for
the Sunshine
Award!)

If you have ALMOST 50 lenses you’re still in
the running. It is quite possible to create enough lenses to qualify. 4
days is plenty of time to create some stellar lenses. Think of it as
cramming for a test or writing a term paper, you can do it! Just be sure to apply at giants@squidoo.com.

you ready to be a Giant Squid? Do you have 50 quality lenses?
Lenses you’d be
proud to show off to your Grandma, best friend, mailman or boss? Then apply to be a
Giant Squid by sending us your Profile Page at giants@squidoo.com by Wednesday June 30th, 2010.
Use good old common sense. If it
looks like a good lens, passes the Grandma test and you feel in your
gut that you did your best you’re probably good to go. So relax, have a
cup of tea, pat yourself on the back and put your feet up for awhile.
You’ve earned it!
If you lens looks like this, you might want to do a little rewriting. Remember…good content, passionate writing and quality work is what we’re looking for in a Giant Squid.
