Photography by Kristi is a photography business, run by Kristi Garabrandt based in Canton, Ohio. Photography by Kristi does wedding/portrait photography alone with fine art, nature and landscapes.
What is your favorite thing about Northeast, Ohio?
I absolutely love the landscape!! It allows so many wonderful photo opportunities and it’s breath taking to view no matter what the season. There is so much to see and do here. Ohio is also such rich in history. My favorite thing about Ohio is Ohio is home and there’s no place else I would rather call home.

Welcome to the July Category Challenge!
July’s Category Challenge! Each day in July we’ll post a different topic category and your challenge is to create a new lens for that category. You’ll need to create 15 NEW lenses by July 31st to qualify for a Purple Star on one of your own top lenses. PLUS you get to give another Purple Star to a deserving lens by …another lensmaster. That’s one purple star for you and one for a friend!
We’ll get started with a fun topic category….”Animals and Nature” Create an animal or nature lens today to start collecting your 15 new lenses in July to qualify for a Purple Star on one of your own top lenses (your choice) AND the chance to award a Purple Star to another des…erving lens. Giants and Not-Yet-A-Giants are all welcome. Post your finished lens here!
Q: So when are you going to make me a Giant Squid?

what’s next?
We want to notify everyone as soon as possible. So
here’s the plan.
We are hoping to notify the new Giant Squids and Top 100 Club by Wednesday, July 7th…BUT we might need an extra day if we get behind.
Everyone will be notified via e-mail…even if you didn’t make it this
time around.
So take a little breather…
relax
and make a lens or two. There’s no need to keep checking your mail box
every hour this week (I know I did when I was waiting to make Giant
Squid) because although we are working hard to get you set up as soon
as possible but it will not happen before Wednesday, July 7th.
Also
remember that the next deadline for making Giant Squid
is September 30th, 2010 so tell your friends, family,
mailman, BF, hairdresser and whoever else you think might be a fabulous
Giant Squid!
Oh and Congratulations for making it this

If you have ALMOST 50 lenses you're still in
the running. It is quite possible to create enough lenses to qualify. 4
days is plenty of time to create some stellar lenses. Think of it as
cramming for a test or writing a term paper, you can do it! Just be sure to apply at giants@squidoo.com.

So are
you ready to be a Giant Squid? Do you have 50 quality lenses?
Lenses you'd be
proud to show off to your Grandma, best friend, mailman or boss? Then apply to be a
Giant Squid by sending us your Profile Page at giants@squidoo.com by Wednesday June 30th, 2010.
Use good old common sense. If it
looks like a good lens, passes the Grandma test and you feel in your
gut that you did your best you're probably good to go. So relax, have a
cup of tea, pat yourself on the back and put your feet up for awhile.
You've earned it!
If you lens looks like this, you might want to do a little rewriting. Remember…good content, passionate writing and quality work is what we're looking for in a Giant Squid.
